Mirage is a permanent art installation at Apple Park, created through the collaboration between artist Katie Paterson and architectural studio Zeller&Moye. The artwork features over four hundred cast glass columns that replicate the undulating shape of desert dunes, blending seamlessly into the surrounding landscape. To realize this piece, sands gathered from every desert across the planet were transformed into two-meter-high translucent cylinders using unique chemical formulations. The structure embraces an interior garden of olive trees and grasses, integrating into the park as a liquid-like, fluid apparition.

My role - Systematic evaluation of glass material samples to define a consistent color transition. The role involved managing the glass components through both physical and digital cataloging systems, alongside the production of technical drawings and diagrams. These specimens were then spatially organized within the master layout, ensuring the precise composition of the gradient for the final installation.
